Our recent Mid Coast Open Homes were showcased at the Mid Coast Tour of Open Homes and Industry Briefing — two events that brought together homeowners, builders, real estate professionals, community members, and housing stakeholders to experience two completed Scandi projects in person.

The events featured the Ironbark Home in Wingham — a 9.8-star energy-efficient home based on the Nordica design with a Borealis floor plan — and the Mango Tree View Retreat in Taree — a 7.9-star modified Visteca granny flat.

Together, these two projects demonstrated how the same Scandi building system can deliver very different outcomes, adapted to site constraints, design preferences, and performance goals.

Part of a series of recent projects delivered on the Mid Coast — including builds in Gloucester, Taree, and Wingham — Scandi Cabins and the Mid Coast builder team opened these homes to offer a chance to see how they are designed, built, and perform in real life.

Visitors were able to walk through the homes at their own pace and speak directly with the builder who delivered them. Whether considering building, investing, or simply exploring what’s possible on a block, it was an opportunity to experience real projects up close.

Both homes are high-performance secondary dwellings designed to the maximum 60 m² allowed under CDC in NSW and were approved in less than 2 weeks via a private certifier.

During the week, the projects were also visited by industry representatives, including federal government representatives and others involved in housing and construction.
