We were building our flagship granny flat, the stylish and versatile Forestmist – and we were hosting a live 1-day event where people could watch the build unfold before their eyes!
For an owner-builder, licensed builder, architect, journalist or anyone considering building a Scandi Cabin, the live build was a great opportunity to learn about the steps and processes involved in the construction of our granny flats and to see how fast they are built firsthand. What a fantastic day it has been! We’ve gone from a bare foundation in the morning to an almost complete 2-bedroom granny flat by 3:45 pm!
7am – builders getting ready for 1-day build

Day 2 of Forestmist build
On day 2 of the Forestmist build the team installed the roof. At the end of Day 2, the Forestmist was finished to lockup stage and ready for internal fit-outs.
