The Greenfjord cabin was recently built for John in the Snowy Mountains as a house. John happily shared his feedback and kindly let us photograph and film his newly built and styled home.
“It serves me well, I’m very comfortable in my new home. Anybody who has come to my new home was very very impressed!
And I was amazed about how well the building insulated is. I only turned the Air conditioner on once or twice during summer even on we had 5 days straight of over 40 degrees.” – said John, the owner of the Greenfjord home.

John was also impressed with the after sales service and spoke highly about the builder Murray Fleming (Canberra Outdoor Structures) who managed all building works of his home.
“I had quite a few minor queries, things that I did myself and Canberra Outdoor structures team came in and helped me with things in a timely fashion which impressed me.”– said John.
John has recommended us to several people, so we’ll see more Scandi granny flats in the Snowy Mountains or anywhere else in Australia.
Interior and exterior colors
Exterior walls of John’s house were stained with Burnt Gum. And let me say it looks stunning with the classy white window architraves. Interior was stained in the clear finish with white painted window frames.
Connections to Services
The building has underground power connected from the main house. And the existing house sewer line was used so the stormwater just goes to the existing tanks.
